Five Spring Break 2020 Activities For Families To Enjoy At Home

Five Spring Break 2020 Activities For Families To Enjoy At Home

Spring break is a time to do something fun or relaxing, as many families are out of school and work for the time being. Unfortunately, you may not be able to plan a gathering, vacation or even a stay-cation this year. Of course, that does not mean you cannot enjoy your break. Here are five spring break activities to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Arts and Crafts

Now is a great time to work on some arts and crafts, which is something family members of all ages can enjoy. Little ones can create paper flowers out of pipe cleaners and leftover tissue paper, while older children may want to create their own jewelry. Teenagers can even turn an old shoe box into their own charging station.

The best part is you can find a variety of craft ideas online, so there is always something to do as long as you have the supplies.

Gardening

When you need a little fresh air, step outside to tend to the garden in your backyard. Pull the weeds and plant the seeds you bought several weeks ago. You would be surprised at how much time you can spend in your garden, and this includes enjoying your garden once it has grown.

If you are unable to step outside, or if you do not have a yard or garden, you can always grow flowers or herbs inside your home. Your deck, windowsill or table by the window are great spots for an indoor garden.

Reading

Of course, you can also use the spring break to catch up on your reading. If you need a quiet place to read, consider a Privacy Pop Tent for your bed. It features a double-sided zipper closure and mesh windows, providing a peaceful, private space to read your favorite book.

The best part is your children can use a tent on their beds as well, as they may want to read a little during their spring break.

Virtual Party

If you are not able to get together with friends, you can always host a virtual party. Technology and social media have made it easier to video chat, send voice messages and host watch parties with others.

You can also schedule a virtual play date for your child and their friends, which can include talking, telling jokes and playing games such as “Simon Says.”

Television

Use your spring break to catch up on your favorite television shows or movies, or spend time watching clips on video sharing websites. Remember, you can also host a virtual watch party, so you can enjoy the shows or movies with those you cannot invite over.

Now, if you want a little privacy while enjoying your television, movies or videos, all you need is your Privacy Pop Tent, a mobile device and maybe some headphones.

You do not have to let a tight budget or restrictions keep you from enjoying your spring break. From gardening to reading to video chatting, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy when you are at home.
